So, simply put, Intel changed the digital signature for the driver to SHA-256 from HAXM 7.2. And since this is unsupported on Win 7 64-bit without the particular Windows update, the HAXM 7.2 patch is simply not recognized as being digitally signed on these systems. To summarize, the solution is …
